What is ESC Region 13?
ESC Region 13 is one of 20 Regional Education Service Centers (ESCs) in Texas that provide training, support, and resources to school districts and educators. ESCs help bridge the gap between the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and local schools, ensuring best practices and innovative solutions reach classrooms efficiently.
Pulse, an AI-powered assistant designed for teachers in Region 13, was developed at 18x the speed of traditional methods using Sembix Studio. Pulse was created as part of a broader modernization initiative to replace Region 13's legacy educator dashboards, which were previously hosted outside of AWS. The legacy system has since been deprecated and fully decommissioned, and Sembix preserved the best functional concepts—re-imagining them as a modern, cloud-native platform built on AWS with an AWS Bedrock-powered educator assistant.
