What You'll Do

Develop GenAI-powered features and agent-based workflows within cloud-native applications
Modernize existing systems, replatforming and embedding AI capabilities
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to plan and deliver new features weekly
Design and implement prompt chains, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI integrations
Build secure and scalable AI-native components using AWS services
Support technical demos and contribute to customer-facing feature delivery

Required Qualifications

Daily use of LLMs and GenAI tools since January 2023 — using large language models for product development, automation, and problem-solving
3+ years in software engineering or intelligent system development
Experience building AI-embedded features or working on GenAI-powered products
Proficient in Python and TypeScript; familiarity with API-first and event-driven architectures
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code
AWS Certified (Associate level or higher)

Preferred Skills

Tools: AWS Bedrock, LangChain, vector databases, Claude, OpenAI, Pinecone
AI practices: prompt engineering, few-shot learning, RAG, agent workflows
Bonus: Experience in EdTech, GovTech, or large-scale modernization projects

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: $115,000 – $140,000 per year, based on experience
Incentive Compensation: 15% of base salary, tied to feature delivery
Total Potential Annual Compensation: $132,000 – $161,000
401(k) Match: 100% match up to 4% of base salary, fully vested immediately
Paid Time Off: 20 days per year
Medical: 100% employee coverage, 50% for family
Holidays: 10 paid holidays annually

Sr. AI Engineer

Job Description

As a Sr. AI Engineer, you'll design and implement advanced AI-powered features and agent workflows while remaining hands-on. You'll lead technical efforts on critical projects, mentor other engineers, and influence architecture and design decisions without carrying full ownership as an architect. You'll work across modernization, greenfield innovation, and hybrid projects — embedding GenAI deeply throughout our stack.

What You'll Do

Design and build GenAI-powered features and sophisticated agent workflows
Lead technical direction on modernization efforts, embedding AI capabilities into core systems
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer teams to plan, develop, and ship new features iteratively
Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers on AI patterns, prompt design, and best practices
Design and optimize prompt chains, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and hybrid AI architectures
Support technical demos and contribute to shaping feature roadmaps

Required Qualifications

Daily use of LLMs and GenAI tools since January 2023 — using models for product development, automation, and advanced problem-solving
5+ years in software engineering or intelligent system development, with at least 2 years in AI/ML-focused roles
Experience building and delivering AI-embedded or GenAI-powered features
Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript; expertise with API-first, event-driven, and serverless architectures
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code
AWS Certified (Associate or Professional level)

We're hiring a Project Manager / Business Analyst to help lead the next wave of software modernization. You'll work directly with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate legacy codebases into structured, high-fidelity product backlogs and drive those features through to modern, cloud-native applications—delivered by autonomous AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery of agent-powered modernization projects from discovery to deployment
Define detailed user stories, edge cases, and acceptance criteria consumable by automation agents
Analyze legacy systems, extract functional requirements, and translate them into modern product experiences
Monitor feature delivery velocity and remove blockers across multi-threaded agent workflows
Validate completion, prepare demos, and manage stakeholder sign-off
Align expectations between client teams and Sembix's delivery model
